VACCINES FOR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS

We are not able to provide vaccines for parents and caregivers, however we strongly recommend them to protect parents as well as their children. Flu vaccines are available through your primary care physician, the health department and many local pharmacies.

The following vaccines are recommended:

  • Influenza annually
  • Tdap (tetanus and pertussis booster) if you have not received a tetanus vaccine in the last 5 years, especially if you will have direct contact with an infant.
  • Varicella, depending on your immune status. You can be evaluated by your primary care provider to determine if you are immune to chickenpox or whether you should be vaccinated.
